I leave for my first Burning Man in just over 24 hours. I've packed entirely too many pair of clean underwear for not being able to shower for a week, and have crammed my camera gear into many ziplocs.

Word from the Playa is that the dust storms are the worst in many years, and high winds are already snapping tent poles, and pushing dust into places it doesn't belong.

Someone already on the Playa said that the dust was so bad that she was sleeping in a dust mask.

Did I mention that I can't wait?

Although I am also looking forward to returning home, and being able to relax in my awesome new apartment. Maybe even on furniture that I don't own just yet.

I finally broke free of the chains keeping me locked in my apartment and set a plan in motion to get the heck out of dodge (Jersey City).

I've now got two apartments, and am in the midst of trying to finagle all of my crap into boxes for the journey back into Pennsylvania. The town I've chosen is called Phoenixville, and I'm really psyched about getting moved. I'll be a hop skip and a jump from a great brewery, tons of art galleries, restaurants and a sweet arthouse movie theater that has some history (they shot part The Blob there).

I've got roughly 3 weeks to get my act in gear and complete my move before I'm headed out to the desert for Burning Man. I'm apprehensive about both, but I'm confident everything is going to pan out and I'll manage to get my self at least moved prior to having to hop a flight into the middle of nowhere for a week of..

I got myself a new bed for xmas, and a new bedside table, sheets and bookcase from my parents. As you may have guessed by now, I am not dead, just hiding.

After 6+ years of sleeping on a mattress on the floor, in a fit of consumerism, I decided to buy a big-boy bed, despite most likely relocating in the next six months or so.

I must say, I enjoy going to bed a bit more (if that was even possible).
